The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP says it will take its righful place in Cross River State in 2023, calling on Governor Ben Ayade to begin preparing to leave office with the All Progressives Congress he recently joined.

The National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus said the Party will restore the freedom of the people of Cross River which he said has been taken away by Governor Ayade.
Secondus made the remarks during the unveiling of the new party state secretariat in Calabar.
Joined by the PDP Governors Forum Chairman Aminu Waziri Tambuwal,Secondus said the APC canmot do anything meaningful for the people of Cross River
Former Governors of Cross River State, Donald Duke and Liyel Imoke promised to join hands with other party members to restructure PDP in Cross River State.
Other dignitaries present at the commissioning of the New Secretariat include, former Senate President Bukola Saraki , Akwa Ibom state governor Udom Emmanuel , Former governor of Anambra state Peter Obi.
