The Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Cross River State Command, Charles Brown, has advised residents of the state to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
The State Commandant of the NSCDC gave the advice while parading a five-man robbery gang, alleged to be responsible for some criminal activities in Calabar, the state capital.
The state NSCDC Commandant also stated that the corps was committed to making Cross River State a difficult place for criminals to operate.
In addition to urging citizens to report suspicious activities, the Cross River State Commandant of the NSCDC also advised parents to monitor their children and caution them against engaging in criminal activities.
He further called on community and religious leaders to help in the fight against crime, by encouraging their members to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
