Akwa Ibom state Governor, Udom Emmanuel says violent crime will be highly minimized if the menace of drug abuse is curbed.
Governor Emmanuel said this in Uyo the Akwa Ibom state capital while inaugurating the State Drugs Control Committee, SDDC.

Inaugurating the 13-member State Drugs Control Committee, SDCC, led by his wife Martha, Governor Udom Emmanuel emphasized the importance the state government attached to eradicating the menace of drug abuse which he said Is key to a peaceful and secure society.
In giving the committee its terms of reference, the governor charged members to hit the ground running as the state government would give them full support.
The Chairperson of the committee and wife of the governor, Martha Emmanuel assured that they would give their all in the task before them.
Members of the committee include the State Commander of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Christy Obot, and advocacy groups.
