Governor Muhammadu Yahaya won the Gombe North primary election while Jerry Damara is the APC candidate for Gombe South
Senator Goje is already crying foul, saying the results are fake.
Goje condemned the entire process. A statement by his special assistant, Ahmed Kashere, claimed fake results were been circulated. The senator has urged his supporters to remain calm and await official directives.
In Gombe North, it was a smooth affirmation for Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who ran as the sole aspirant.
Gombe Central saw a heavyweight clash between Senator Danjuma Goje and Mohammed Ahmed across the Akko and Yamaltu Deba local government areas.
Gombe South featured an equally competitive matchup between political newcomers Jerry Damara and Bilyaminu Ladidi.
Following the polls, the APC primary committee officially declared the winners for the three senatorial zones.
