Forty-nine -years old American stand-up comedian and actor David Webber Chappelle popularly known as Dave Chappelle has won his fourth Grammy Award at the 2023 edition of the ceremony.
Chappelle won in the Best Comedy Album category for his 2021 comedy special The Closer which received backlash for jokes he cracked about the transgender community.

Critics of the comic act had condemned him for claiming that the LGBTQ+ community was attempting to destroy the lives of celebrities by “canceling” them.
