In a telephone conversation, one of the residents, Usman Bakori, said about 75 of the deceased were buried on Friday morning after the incident on Thursday night.
According to him, a truck was used to convey the corpses for burial, saying they are still expecting to bury more, as search parties keep combing the forest areas.
Governor Masari has sent a delegation, led by Secretary to the State Government, Muntari Lawal, to condole with the people, describing the situation as highly tragic for not only the victims and their families, but all.
During the condolence, Lawal called on the residents to always defend themselves, as such a situation can not be singlehandedly controlled by the government or security agencies alone.
It was gathered that as a result of the attack, many people have deserted the community.
