Terrorists operating in the forest area of Jibiya Local Government of Katsina State, North-West Nigeria have launched a fresh attack killing four traders and injuring one other.
Police spokesperson, Superintendent Gambo Isah while confirming the incident said, the traders who were from Zandam village, were going to a market close to the Jibiya Local Government headquarters, when they ran into the terrorists.
According to him, the terrorists actually shot at five traders, four died on the spot while the remaining one sustained injuries.
He added that, the trader who sustained injuries was immediately moved to a health facility where he is receiving medical attention.

A source from the area alleged that, the incident caused fears among other traders who were already at the market, which made many of them to flee and scamper for safety.
He added that, the attack is a renewed one as, it has been long that the town witnessed any such incident.
It was also gathered that, Jibiya town as at the time of filing this report, was calm as people were going about their normal activities.
