A media mogul, Chief Dele Momodu, has encouraged Gen Z to acquire proper political knowledge in preparation for leadership, noting that politics is not a game played on social media.
Dele Momodu made this known at an event tagged “Reading Time,” held at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, to mark the 2026 Library Week.
He noted that engaging with literature on global politics can help address many of the challenges facing Nigeria’s political structure and governance.
The University Librarian said the event reaffirms a collective commitment to knowledge, scholarship, and the enduring power of books to cultivate minds and nurture a lifelong love for learning.
Dele Momodu urged Nigerians youth to have the advantage of technology, which should be used as a tool for acquiring knowledge rather than a distraction, urging them to break free from poverty and political subjugation.
