Nigeria’s Minister for Defence, Muhammad Badaru says he is happy that officers and men of the Armed Forces are still in high spirit despite the unprovoked attack on some of their colleagues in Delta State recently.
The Minister who said this when he paid a working visit to the Nigeria Airforce Base Kano, enjoined the military to remain patriotic in the discharge of their duties.
Led by the Commandant of the Nigeria Air Force Flying Training School Kano, Wing Commander A.M Onolaja and the Base Commandant, Nigeria Air force Base Kano, Group Captain Mustapha Suleiman, the Minister was conducted round some aircraft and facilities used for the training of young pilot officers.
The Minister sympathised with the Armed Forces over the killing of their colleagues in Delta State and expressed joy that despite the unfortunate incident, he is happy that they are still in high spirits.
The Minister thereafter visited the Nigeria Navy Logistics College Kano where the Commandant, Commodore James Adedeji briefed him on developments and the roles the institution plays in the internal security of Kano State.
The Commandant of the Nigeria Air Force Flying Training School Kano and the Base Commandant, expressed hope that the visit of the Minister and the periodic words of motivation that comes from the Chief of Air Staff will continue to keep officers and men motivated in the discharge of their duties.
