The police in Delta state have imposed a Dusk to Dawn curfew in Ughelli area, following Tuesday’s bloody protest by some youths and suspected internet fraudsters against officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
According to the police command, the curfew became necessary to prevent further breakdown of law and order.

Tuesday’s protest by the youths against alleged incessant harassment by EFCC officials in the state, began on a peaceful note, but later bloody when trucks laden with petroleum products granites were set ablaze, and a youth lost his life to stray bullet.
So far five trucks have been completely burnt down, thirteen vandalised and two youths seriously injured during the protest.
