Delta state Government has announced the death of six persorns by windstorm on Wednesday in Oko Community in Oshimili South Local Government Area of the state.
The state Commissioner for Information Charles Aniagwu who confirmed the devastating incident during a news conference in Asaba explained that aside the six dead persons, five other victims sustained various degrees of injuries and are receiving treatment at the hospital.

The same rainstorm of Wednesday also claimed the life of a 10 year-old boy who was swept away by flood at Okotomi area of Okpanam Community in Oshimili North Council Area, a suburb of Asaba, the state Capital.
The commissioner who used the occasion to announce the state governments approval for the constitution of a Committee that will oversee the smooth transition to the next administration appealed to residents of Udu to exercise patience as efforts are been made to evacuate the petrol tanker that fell on the Udu bridge for free flow of traffic.
