The Counter Terrorism Unit, Base 5 Warri of the Delta State Police Command has rescued a thirty-seven year old man (name withheld) kidnapped in Otu-Jeremi Community, Ughelli-South Local Council of the State.
The Police Unit while on official duty encountered and trailed the kidnappers to their den in Ekrokpe Community where a gun duel ensued and the abductors were dislodged.
One of the suspected kidnappers,Kelly Onwuka who is twenty-three years old was arrested as he attempted to escape with others, while their victim was rescued unhurt.

A statement signed by the State Police Command spokesperson, Bright Edafe says exhibits recovered from the apprehended vehicle were one Cut-to-Size Double Barrel gun, another Cut-to-Size Single Barrel gun and a live Cartridge.
The statement further says investigations were ongoing while efforts have commenced to apprehend other members of the kidnapping gang.
