Delta State Police Command parades murder, kidnapping, robbery, and illegal firearms possession suspects

22 suspects have been paraded by the Delta State Police Command for various crimes bothering on Murder, Kidnap, Armed robbery, and possession of illegal firearms.

Among the 12 man gang of the 22 suspects were Chiedu Ewuzie, Bright Ushiagwu and Nnamdi Okocha who, last month allegedly murdered one Ifeanyi Umeadi at Ogbeofu quarters in Ogwashi-uku, Headquarters of Aniocha-South local Council.

While nine of the twelve-man gang have been charged to court, three murder suspects are still undergoing thorough investigation.

Delta State Commissioner of Police, Ari Mohammed in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe says the Command’s Special Anti-cult Crack Unit, in separate operations, raided Ogorode, a blackspot in Sapele local government area, and arrested five kidnappers and robbery suspects following successful intelligence gathering.

Among the exhibits recovered from the suspects were one AK-47 rifle, a locally fabricated AK-47 rifle, two Pump-Action guns, two locally made single barrel guns, Forty-seven rounds of 7.62 millimetres live ammunition, and some quantities of hard drugs suspected to be Indian Hemp.

The statement further urged law-abiding residents of the State to maintain a good relationship with the Command to enable effective intelligence gathering and promoting peaceful coexistence.
