The Chief Medical Director of the Patrick Yakowa General Hospital Kafanchan, Dr Nathaniel Isaac, has confirmed the death of one child who was killed by the Diphtheria disease.
Dr. Isaac disclosed this when the senator representing Kaduna South, Barrister Sunday Katung, and some Southern Kaduna stakeholders visited the victims of the disease at the General Hospital in Kafanchan.
The senator representing Kaduna South, Barrister Sunday Katung, has appealed to the public to take precautionary measures to curtail the menace from escalating.
The Chief Medical Director said measures are being put in place to ascertain the number of deaths in the Kafanchan community, aside from the recorded person in the hospital.
