The National Security and civil defence Corps(NSCDC) Lagos state command has intercepted a boat laden with suspected illicit drug, Cannabis Sativa also known as Indian hemp with a street value of over sixty-five million naira.
The NSCDC commander, Lagos state command, Eweka Okoro who briefed journalists in Lagos Friday said the anti-vandal unit of the command intercepted the boat suspected to have arrived Nigeria waters from Ghana along Ibechie axis near Badagry. The smugglers he explained, abandoned their boat as they jumped into the sea to escape arrest.
