As Nigerians begin preparations towards the Easter celebration and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Clergymen in Edo state have advised Christian faithful to align their deeds with the forces of good and be just in their dealings with others.

The clergymen while acknowledging the significance of the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday want Christian faithful to be righteous, and show love to one another as the world gradually overcomes the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic and other challenges facing the country.

Many Christians around the world observe Good Friday before the Easter celebration to commemorate Jesus Christ’s Passion, crucifixion, and death on the cross of calvary.

Clergymen in Edo state are joining others in the world to mark the day with an admonition to Christian faithful to be righteous, obedient and show love to one another.

Noting the low key of the celebration last year due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the clergymen stressed the need for all to acknowledge the presence of God even in the face of science while also urging leaders to live sacrificially for their followers as exemplified by Jesus christ

Good Friday as a part of the Holy week that started on 29th March with Palm Sunday will end on 5th April with Easter Monday.
