The Supreme Court will at 3 pm deliver judgment on the dispute over who is the actual governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), in Ebonyi State for next year’s election.
The court is to decide between Chukwuma Ifeanyi and Senator Joseph Ogba, who should contest the election on the PDP platform in the 2023 governorship election in Ebonyi.
A five-member panel, headed by Justice Amina Augie, announced after entertaining final submissions from lawyers to parties in the appeal filed by Ifeanyi.
The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State, Chukwuma Ifeanyi went to the Supreme Court against the purported use of fake delegates by Senator Ogba at the June 4th and 5th primary election of the party in the state.
The first primary election of the PDP was held on 28, and 29th May 2022, and it produced Ifeanyi as the governorship candidate, while the second primary election held in June produced Ogba.
