The Edo State Government has declared today, Friday, March 17, 2023 a half-work day ahead of the March 18 State House of Assembly election.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie says the directive implies that government offices and establishments execpt those on essential duties will close for work by 12 noon to allow workers travel to their constituencies to exercise their franchise.
Ogie explains that the state government is keen at ensuring that every eligible voter is provided the opportunity to participate in the election.
