Edo State House of Assembly says it will publish the impeachment notice meant for the Deputy Governor of the State, Philip Shaibu, over allegations of perjury and revelation of official secrets on national dailies due to alleged refusal of the Deputy Governor to acknowledge receipt of the notice.
Speaker of the House, Blessing Agbebaku, made this known at Monday’s plenary which held at the Anthony Enahoro Assembly Complex in Benin City.
Blessing Agbebaku reveals that effort had been made to send the notice across all to no avail.
The impeachment notice said to be signed by twenty one out of the twenty four legislators was announced by Majority leader, Charity Aiguobarueghian on March 6, 2024, for which Philip Shaibu was given seven days to respond.
