The All Progressives Congress, APC may have settled for Dennis Idahosa as its Deputy Governorship candidate for the September 21, 2024 Edo State Governorship election.
Idahosa emerged as the first runner-up at the recent controversial primary that produced Monday Okpebholo as the party’s candidate.
AIT.live gathered that the emergence of Okpebholo-Idahosa ticket was the outcome of the high-wire intra-party politics that took centre stage at the national and state secretariats in Abuja and Benin City.
The joint ticket will be sealed when it is presented to President Bola Tinubu this week at the Presidential Villa.
The latest development is coming off the back of the endorsement of a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama as the running mate of Monday Okpebholo last week.

The endorsement of Okpebholo, Ogbeide-Ihama ticket was given at a meeting attended by top former Governorship aspirants, the APC candidate Okpebholo and other critical stakeholders from Edo South.
It was learnt that the endorsement did not get the backing of some other critical stakeholders in Edo State and the National Secretariat.
From all indications, the APC leadership has a herculean task in uniting all interest groups towards a formidable front for the September 21 election.
