The Edo State Government has redeployed the Managing Director of the Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), Suleiman Aledeh, to the Edo State Orientation Agency, where he is to serve as the pioneer Director-General with immediate effect.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor, the government announced that Festus Alenkhe has been appointed Acting Managing Director of EBS pending the appointment of a substantive Managing Director.
The statement explained that the redeployment is part of ongoing administrative adjustments aimed at enhancing resource management and strengthening institutional capacity across key sectors of the state.

According to the government, the appointment reflects Governor Monday Okpebholo’s confidence in Aledeh’s professional competence and ability to drive the mandate of the Orientation Agency, particularly in the areas of civic engagement, values reorientation, and public communication.
The government commended Aledeh for his dedication and contributions to public service broadcasting and institutional development during his tenure at EBS, and wished him success in his new assignment.
Alenkhe, who currently serves as Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, is expected to ensure seamless operations at EBS while maintaining the station’s high standards of professional broadcasting and service delivery.
