The Edo State Judicial Panel of inquiry set up to receive and investigate complaints of police brutality, human rights violations and extrajudicial killings in the state has commenced the hearing of petitions brought before the panel by different petitioners.
The panel this Thursday heard two cases and received more petitions making a total number of twenty five petitions received so far by the panel.
One of the petitions came from Harrison Edoh, an Indegene of Benue state and a Lagos State resident, who told the judicial panel through his counsel Barrister Augustine Audu that his first son Isaac Baba Edoh, a twenty three years old English and Literature Student of the Usman Fan Fodio University, Sokoto was apprehended in 2012 by men of the Nigeria police, in Auchi over alleged Cultism and was later feared murdered in an controversial circumstances by SARS officers.

Another petitioner Akpan Sunday, through his counsel Festus Obijekun told the panel that his client is seeking justice over alleged police brutality in Ekiadolor in Benin city, which made him suffer from partial loss of hearing.
The chairman of the judicial panel of Inquiry, Retired Justice Ada Ehigiamusoe assured all parties involved fairness, Equity and justice.
The panel has so far received 25 petitions from different petitioners
