With less than 24 hours to the conduct of the governorship primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State, one of the frontline contenders for the PDP ticket ahead of the September 19, governorship election in the state, Ken Imasuagbon, said he will not step down from the race despite pressure from the national leadership of the party and several others asking him to back off for the incumbent Governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki, who recently joined the PDP from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Imasuagbon, who disclosed this to AIT in Benin City, said he is confident of winning the parties primaries slated for Thursday.
The PDP aspirant vowed to drag the party to court if it compromises the process to favour Obaseki.
