The Edo State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has ratifies the suspension of South-South Vice Chairman of the party, Dan Orbih, Member representing Oredo Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, State Secretary, Hillary Otsu and seven others over alleged anti-party activities.

The decision to uphold their suspension was taken at an expanded meeting of the Edo PDP Leadership Forum for Governor Obaseki in Benin City where the Governor speaks on efforts made to ensure a peaceful harmonisation process of old and new members to no avail.

Recently, the suspension of the Vice Chairman, South South of the People’s Democratic Party, Dan Orbih; State Secretary, Hillary Otsu; Member representing Oredo Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, Chairman of Oredo ward four, Friday Ihama, PDP Oredo Local Government Chairman, Oduwa Igbinosun and five Chairmen from Edo North Senatorial District excluding Etsako West was announced by some officials of the party who alleged gross misconduct and anti-party activities.
These leaders and PDP faithfuls from the one hundred and ninety two wards of the State, gathered to express their implicit confidence in the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki and also ratify the suspensions earlier announced.
Governor Obaseki appreciates the show of support and speaks on efforts made to ensure a peaceful harmonisation process of old and new members.
The Governor says enough is enough as he cautions against rancour and disunity in the PDP
He promises to be fair and commits to building a united and formidable party.
