The Edo State Security Squad has directed all business owners across the State to install functional Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras at their premises on or before July 30, 2026.
The Squad said the directive is aimed at strengthening crime prevention, improving surveillance, and assisting security agencies in identifying suspects and gathering evidence during criminal investigations.
Speaking to journalists in Benin City, the spokesperson for the Special Security Squad, Noah Idemudia, warned that businesses that fail to comply with the directive by the deadline will face sanctions.
