Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has promised to support the family of late Kingsley Uchegbu, a reporter with Independent Television, ITV, Benin City, and Government House Correspondent.

This was conveyed during a condolence visit to the family by a delegation from the Edo State Government.

The delegation, led by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Kassim Afegbua, described the late journalist as humble, respectful, and dedicated to his duties.

According to the delegation, Governor Okpebholo received the news of Uchegbu’s death with deep sadness, noting that his contributions to journalism and his professionalism would be greatly missed.

Late Kingsley Uchegbu reportedly died of a brief illness.

His death has thrown members of the Government House Press Corps and the media community in Edo State into mourning.
