Edo State wing of the Nigerian Union of Teachers, NUT, has suspended its 19-day-old strike by public primary school teachers in the state.

In a communiqué sent to ait.live, the union said the suspension became necessary after interventions from key players, civil society organisations and the national leadership of the union.
