Forty year old Okungbowa Paul has emerged as the candidate of the Young progressives Party, YPP.
Okungbowa who is the only governorship aspirant of the Party won the ticket through option A4.
He scored forty votes out of the forty delegates accredited for the exercise.
Delegates of the Young progressives Party YPP from across Edo state converged on Benin City for the party’s primaries to elect a candidate who will fly the YPP flag in the September twenty first governorship election in the state.
After the accreditation of delegates ,voting started and the party choose option A4 to nominate its flag bearer.
The returning officer for the exercise William Moses declared Okungbowa Paul winner of the primaries.
The YPP governorship candidate expressed gratitude to the party’s delegates and leaders for trusting him.
Okungbowa Paul says he is fully prepared for the task ahead.
