The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned Idris Mohammed before the FCT High Court in Maitama, Abuja, over an alleged ₦6.85 million fraud.
The EFCC alleges that Mohammed received the money from Ampatech Nigeria Limited for the purchase of a black Toyota Camry but neither delivered the vehicle nor refunded the money.
He pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge of criminal misappropriation and obtaining money by false pretence.
The prosecution requested the commencement of trial, while the defence applied for bail.
Justice A.M. Abdullahi ordered that Mohammed be remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre and adjourned the case to September 24, 2026, for commencement of trial.
