The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned one Andefiki Markus before Justice H.H. Kereng of the Gombe State High Court over an alleged ₦20 million cattle investment fraud.
Markus was arraigned by the Gombe Zonal Directorate of the EFCC on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money under false pretence.
According to the Commission, the defendant allegedly obtained ₦20 million from one Skeptra Useni Baka on June 27, 2023, through an Access Bank account, under the pretext of investing in a cattle business in Taraba State.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
The court remanded him in EFCC custody and adjourned the matter to May 7, 2026, for hearing on his bail application.
