The stand off between the EFCC and the Nigerian police operatives attached to the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello may not be ending anytime soon as officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC continue to lay siege on the residence of the former Governor
Bello’s loyalists and security aides comprising police officers have maintained a resistance, forcing armed operatives of the EFCC to step back from their earlier position

Current governor and Bello’s successor Usman Ododo arrived the residence accompanied by more loyalists of the former governor in what could be seen as a show of solidarity to his former boss who is being investigated by the anti graft agency for alleged corruption allegations
Bello remains locked inside his residence, with the EFCC mounting a watch few yards away
