The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has recovered a total of $104,950 for an American-based businesswoman, Adeshola Oshilaja, in a suspected procurement fraud case.
The Commission handed over the outstanding $56,000 to Oshilaja at its Lagos Zonal Directorate in Ikoyi, following an earlier payment of $48,950 by the defendant, Babatunde Samuel Akinsanmi.
The case followed a petition over funds allegedly provided for the procurement of 10 dump trucks from China, with the EFCC investigation revealing that six trucks were delivered to Nigeria.

The Commission says the recovery underscores its commitment to ensuring that recovered funds are returned to their rightful owners, while pledging to sustain its fight against financial crimes.
