The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, says it recovered more than one trillion naira in assets and proceeds of crime in the last three years.
The commission also says well over 10,000 convictions were also secured by it over these same period.
The EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyode gave the statistics this Monday at a session with Senior Editors, and Broadcast Chief Executives who were led to the fact finding session by the Presidential Media team, led by Bayo Onanuga.
The commission says the recoveries were made between October 2023 and July 2026, with 397 billion naira recovered directly for the Federal Government, and another 836 billion naira recovered for states and local governments, ministries, companies and individuals.
