As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has called on Nigerians to reject corruption in all its forms and embrace accountability.
EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, made the call in his Independence Day message in Abuja, saying ongoing government reforms must be matched by accountable conduct among citizens.
Olukoyede described the country’s reform efforts as building blocks for a greater Nigeria, stressing that corruption must not be allowed to undermine national progress.
He expressed optimism about the country’s future and urged Nigerians to demonstrate zero tolerance for corrupt practices.
The EFCC Chairman assured Nigerians that the country would overcome its challenges, declaring that “Nigeria will surely get better.”
