Ahead of May 1,2022, Eid El-Fitr celebration, the Delta state commissioner of police, Ari Mohammed, has ordered massive deployment of personnel to all Muslim prayer grounds and strategic locations in the state to ensure adequate security.
This was contained in a statement issued by the police command.

The statement also adds that the command has intensified raids on criminal hideouts and black spots which has led to the successful arrest of suspected criminals in some parts of the state.
The command is however soliciting the cooperation of Delta residents in its fight against criminality.
