Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has felicitated Muslims in the state on this joyous occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, as they celebrate Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering devotion and obedience to Allah.
In a message by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogu Mohammed, Yahaya Bello called on Muslims to draw inspiration from the exemplary virtues demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, his sacrifice, patience, steadfastness, generosity, and unwavering obedience to Allah’s command.
The statement adds that, the qualities should guide all muslims as they face the contemporary challenges of nation-building, reminding them of their shared heritage and the destiny of national greatness that awaits the people of Kogi State, both within and outside the country.

According to the statement, the progress achieved in the past seven years would not have been possible without the sacrifices, understanding, and commitment of our citizens. It is their unwavering support that has propelled us forward.
The Governor says in his first term as Governor of Kogi State, the pursuit of harmony, cohesion, unity, security, political stability, progress, equity, justice, and above all, prosperity were the cornerstones of our administration.
He assures that these principles will continue to define his leadership, policy and programmes of our administration in this second term.
Bello in the statement says his overnment remains steadfast in safeguarding the peace and security of our people, ensuring the inviolability of their persons and property.
The Almighty has blessed us with this peace, and it has become ingrained in the lives of Kogites.
In the spirit of the celebration, Bello encourages all residents to demonstrate love and generosity towards their fellow human beings, calling that these virtues resonate not only in this festive day but also in their everyday lives.
