Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has presented a proposed budget of four hundred and ninety point seven four billion naira to the State House of Assembly for the 2027 fiscal year.
The proposal allocates two hundred and seventy-five point six eight billion naira to recurrent expenditure and two hundred and fifteen point zero six billion naira to capital projects.
Presenting the budget on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti, Governor Oyebanji described it as the Budget of Sustained Progress and Prosperity, saying it is intended to consolidate his administration’s programmes over the next four years.
Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, assured the governor that lawmakers would thoroughly scrutinise the proposal before its passage.
