The Christian Association of Nigeria, Ekiti state chapter has called on government at all levels to find lasting solutions to insecurity in Nigeria, and the lingering strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
The Christian body made the call in Aramoko Ekiti at a meeting of Christian leaders in the state capital Ado Ekiti.
The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Ekiti state, Aribasoye Stephen said Christians across the country will continue to draw attention of government at all levels to societal problems confronting the country .
While lamenting the strike embarked upon by the Academic staff Union of Universities, Aribasoye advised government on the need for urgent intervention on the lingering strike.
In his submission, Prophet Adebamigbe John said corruption was the major challenge to Nigeria’s quest for socio economic advancement .
The Christian body also called on all other interest groups to partner with critical stakeholders in the education sector to develop capacity and a more stable environment for learning and research.
