Accreditation and voting ended early in most of the polling units of Efon alaiye and ikoro areas at the Ekiti state governorship election as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC officials, voters and party agents await the official time of 2pm for the collation exercise to begin.
The residents and the peoples democratic party’s governorship candidate, Bisi Kolawole who spoke to AIT in Efon at the concluding stage of voting urged the electoral Umpire to review the timing and allow polling units that have ended accreditation and voting exercise early to immediately commence with the collation instead of voters waiting for hours.

There was high turn out of voters in the local govt areas particularly the senior citizens who said they need a selfless governor that can develop and bring peace to the state to better the lives of the people.
Many Voters commend INEC for improving on the Bimodal voters accreditation system, BVAS performance used as few complained about the poor function but were later captured by the device.
Over 988,000 voters are expected to be captured by INEC in the Ekiti state governorship election.
