The immediate family of Nasir El-Rufai has expressed concerns over what they alleged was an attempt to detain the former Kaduna Governor at the Department of State Services, DSS rather than the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC.
One of the wives of El- Rufai, Kasia expressed the concern shortly after the case was stood down following bail granted the African Democratic Congress, ADC, chieftain.
However, news has filtered in that the DSS later conceded to his detention with the ICPC.
DSS has however not commented on the matter. But another issue raised by the family members is the alleged psychological torture he is going through.
The family also claimed that El- Rufai has been denied access to his medical doctors, food and medication. All the claims have been dismissed by the ICPC.
