The Gubernatorial Campaign Organization of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in KOGI state says it has uncovered yet another plot by the Kogi State Government to blame the SDP for attacks on APC supporters across the state.

A statement signed by the Director, Communications of the Muritala Yakubu Ajaka Gubernatorial Campaign Organization, Faruk Adejoh-Audu, said the plot was designed to be unleashed on unsuspecting persons in the course of a rally scheduled to hold in support of the APC candidate, Usman Ododo, at Ajaka the hometown of the SDP Candidate.

The statement also alleged that some APC thugs have been detailed by the state government to open gun fire on buses conveying APC supporters and Local Government civil servants attending the rally on their way to the event.

It further said that the thugs who have been asked to dress in SDP vests have also been detailed to attack people at the venue of the rally to create maximum mayhem and blame it on the SDP candidate and his supporters.

The statement said the motive of the plot is to enable the incumbent governor to procure security forces to clamp down on the supporters of the SDP Candidate in order to execute a mass arrest that will drive fear into the people of Kogi who have resolved to support Murtala Yakubu Ajaka during the November 11 election.

The statement also alleged that SDP supporters in KOGI state have been repeatedly attacked just as the vehicle of the Governorship candidate was attacked On August 23rd after an attack on SDP supporters at Emewe in Dekina area of the state.
