Electoral Fraud: SDP calls for death sentence for offenders

The Social Democratic Party, SDP has called for life imprisonment or death sentence for electoral Fraud offenders in Nigeria.

Briefing Journalists in Abuja, the party’s chairman, Oke Idakwene says the act has given the nation setbacks in choosing the right leaders for the past 30 years.

The party has also urged Nigerians to come out in large numbers and stage a nationwide protest against manual collation of election results to defend their rights during the polls.

SDP called on the federal Lawmakers who support electronic collation of election results not to allow the large number of Lawmakers who voted against electronic transmission of results to silent their demand.

The opposition party appealed to all political parties particularly the ruling and main opposition parties to shun the zoning pattern for presidency as it is weakening the nation’s unity and democracy.
