Youths in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State are seeking their electricity service provider to pay consumers twenty million Naira compensation, for disconnecting them illegally.
The Youths in a statement expressed concern over the activities carried out by the electricity service providers, after paying their July bills.

The statement, signed by the spokesman of the youths, Salisu Sabo, explained that electricity consumers in the area have been undergoing hardship for some days.
He added that the action has affected the socio-economic well-being of the people.
The statement further said that already, the people of the area are living in fear, as a result of the insecurity they have been contending with, for over six years.
