Less than 48 hours after he was suspended from office as the Secretary of the Katsina State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Shitu Shitu has resigned from the office.
In a letter personally signed by him, Shitu said, “I am pleased to notify you about my intended resignation as the State Secretary of our great party, the All Progressive Congress, APC, with effect from 27th February 2023”.
The embattled secretary of the katsina APC further said, “I wish to therefore seize this opportunity to express my profound gratitude for the singular honour given to me to offer my humble and modest contributions in serving the APC at various capacities, particularly the exalted positions of the Chairman and Secretary of the party”.

Recall that, the chairman of the party, Sani Ahmed had earlier in a statement on February 28, said the party has reaffirmed the suspension of both the secretary of the party, Shitu Shitu, and the legal adviser of the party, Barrister Nasiru Umar Wagini by their respective local government party Chairmen following the State Working Committee’s meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC), held on Monday 27 February 2023.
