Bauchi State Emirates Council has suspended former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara of his traditional tittle as the Jakadaniyan of Bauchi.
According to a statement issued by the Emirates Council signed by Galadiman Bauchi, Ibrahim Saidu Jahun and the Council Secretary, Shehu Mudi Mohammed, the decision followed Council meetings on attacked on the Emir of Bauchi and Dass during Bogoro, Tafawabalewa violence.
The Council noted that the former speaker who is a traditional title holder in the Emirates was found to have misled the people of the area during the incident.
The Council also said Dogara failed to show sympathy or any signs of remorse towards what happened to the two Emirs.

The Council said the former speaker stands suspended as JAKADIYAN Bauchi until the determination of the case which is before the Bauchi State High Court between the Bauchi State Government, Dogara and 28 others on 11 count criminal charges.
It will be recalled that on the 30th of December, 2021, some angry youths in Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa Local Government of Bauchi State had staged a protests to stopped the 21st memorial anniversary of late Baba Peter Gonto, alleging that the plan anniversary is a plan for coronation of Sayawa chiefdom, which later turned violent leading to distraction of property worths millions of naira.
