Gwandu Emirate in Kebbi State has organized a special prayer session, seeking spiritual intervention, to rescue the country from its security challenges.
The week-long prayer was held at the Emir’s Palace Mosque, in Birnin Kebbi.
Securing the successful release of the remaining staff and students of Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri, Ngaski Local Government Area of Kebbi State, dominated the session.
The Chief Imam of Gwandu, Muhammad Jabbo, chaired the prayer session, while the Chairman of the State’s Islamiyya Schools, Ahmad Wala, and the Chief Imam of Wala Mosque, assisted him.

A special prayer session for sufficient rainfall and bumper harvest was observed.
State Governor Atiku Bagudu, was also part of the spiritual exercise which featured recitation from the Holy Quran.
