Enugu State state government, South East Nigeria, Tuesday commenced a 7-day training programme for journalists attached to the he Government Press Corps.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi while declaring open the exercise assures that his administration will continue to create a conducive environment for practising journalists in the State to thrive.
Represented by the Senior Special Adviser on Media, Sampson Ezea, the Governor explains that the training is to further equip Media practitioners with current information technology to render the needed services to the society through fair and objective information dissemination.
The Chairman of the Enugu State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Sam Udekwe commended the Governor for his good working relationship with journalists in the State over the years.
The week long training is expected to end this Friday.
