The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says technology will play a major role in the June 20 Enugu North Senatorial District bye-election as part of efforts to ensure a credible and transparent process.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Enugu State, Chukwuemeka Chukwu, made this known while opening the training of prospective Supervisory Presiding Officers ahead of the Enugu North Senatorial Zone to elect a new senator following the vacancy created by the death of their former representative.
For INEC, one of the key steps is preparing the officials who will manage the election on the field.
