Police in Enugu State, Southeast Nigeria, have declared Moses Asogwa, a 47-year-old retired police officer, wanted along with seven others for alleged conspiracy to commit murder, terrorism, kidnapping, armed robbery, arson, and unlawful possession of firearms.
The police released the list on Monday in a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe.
The others declared wanted are Gabriel Emebe, Joseph Ogbonna, Chimezie Ugwu, Chizoba Ogbuabor, Sunday Eze, Jude Nebeolisa, and Moses Chitor.

According to the statement, the last known addresses of all listed persons were in Igga, Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of the State.
This action may be connected to the recent killing of two police operatives and three members of the Neighbourhood Watch Group within that community in what police described as an unprovoked sudden attack.
The Police spokesperson claimed that the team was ambushed and attacked by a large group of criminals, who opened fire on them.
DSP Ndukwe also noted that the security operatives were providing security for a team of visiting investors from Lagos State on a tour of a proposed agricultural investment site in the area when the attack occurred.
