The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Enugu State, South East Nigeria has granted the application of the governorship candidates of the Labour Party, Chijioke Edeoga, and that of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, Nnamdi Omeje to access and inspect INEC sensitive election materials deployed for the conduct of the March 18 governorship polls in the State.
Secretary of the Tribunal, Yusuf Folmi while interacting with ait.live at the Enugu State High Court complex, explained that so far, the Tribunal has received 14 election petitions arising from the February 25, National Assembly elections.
Out of this number, 12 of the Petitions are for the House of Representatives and 2, are for the Senate seat contests.

Three political parties, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; Labour Party, LP, and the All Progressive Congress, APC are challenging the outcome of the elections at different levels and constituencies.
The Tribunal Secretary however observed that more election petitions are expected to be filed in the coming days.
